On 19th September 2010 my company completed what is called a half commission deal. It is when one letting agent has a property and another has a suitable applicant. I had a wonderful applicant and placed them in a property in Edgware and I duly sent my invoice for half the fee to the other agent.
He kept promising but failing to pay, giving every excuse known to man including that the landlord had not paid him.
About 6 weeks ago my frustration had reached boiling point and I mentioned it to Richard Selwyn who calmly took over the problem for me.
He wrote to the agent. I have no idea what was in the letter, but it effected a response with an agreement to pay by 5th March 2011. No money arrived! But Richard is not in the habit of giving up………..another letter went out.
It must be in the letter – the content of which Richard refused to reveal to me – because yesterday the full amount was received into my account.
Richard – you are a star! You took away my problem. Dealt with it. Resolved it. I am extremely impressed. You solved the problem without the need to go to court which I really didn’t relish.
